Lison Joseph is STAT's equity and health tech editor. A journalist for nearly two decades, Lison guides STAT's coverage of issues at the intersection of race and medicine as well as drives the newsroom's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Before joining STAT in 2023, he led business reporting teams at The Dallas Morning News and The Philadelphia Inquirer as well as the national technology reporting team at The Economic Times in India. Lison lives in Boston but grew up in Kerala, a state on India's southwestern coast long known for its exotic spices and natural beauty.
